 That's exactly what they had. For a Corvair transaxle, a reversed R&P means they built a set where the pinion is next to the adjusting sleeve, where the stocker is next to the engine. And you cannot reverse the stock components to do this.

I may have missed something in this thread as I don't always read all the
posts.  But, could someone explain how Chevy got it to work in Monza GT?  I
saw this car at the GM Heritage Center during the Detroit convention.  My
guess is they had the reversed R and P gears for the diff, but I really
don't know.
