Looks like I need new rear wheel bearing(s).

Started with a bit of road noise in the right rear, and now has progressed to a
whirrring sound with a cycling pitch change. I ordered Clark's rebuilt rear
bearing assemblies because I did it once without the right tools and fixtures.
It took just too long.

If I bought just the bearings etc., it would have cost about $100 each. The way
I figure it, I'll let the tech at Clark's do the work. It only cost about $100-
$125 to have them do both .....and clean /ready to reinstall.

I can disassemble the brakes with no problem.

If remember correctly, there is a way to remove the outboard universal bolts,
then grab the top of the tire and pull outboard to pull the hub, pivoting on
the outboard strut bushing, away from the universal and shaft (two person job
usually). This should allow me to get the hub out without removing the lower
strut and all that !#%@#$@ it in tails.

Someone showed me this trick at the Detroit national when I lost a universal
and had to pull one half shaft out in the parking lot to get a new universal
installed. Never had to disconnect the lower strut!!

Any body got any short cuts or hints to reduce the time and aggravation??
