<VV> mystery rear brake noise, need help

Hiya guys.   I'm getting squealing (mostly backing up) and occasionally
grinding noises from my rear brakes on the 63 coupe but everything looks in
order when I take the drums off.  I think I might have accidentally used 62
brake hardware (springs and the little retainers) which I see are a
different part number, but if so I'm pretty sure that's only on one side
and both sides are making the squealing noise.  Not sure if the grinding
noise is both sides as it is very intermittent.

What should I be looking for?
