Thanks to everybody who replied to my request
for recommendations on what oil to run in a stock
street Corvair. I’ve been running Mobil 1 for some
years in “Mom’s Corvair” (stock ‘65 140hp coupe)
and will continue to run a full synthetic, but as you
will see when reading below, I will be changing brands.

The reason I brought up the topic is that a close
friend of mine has a large supply of fresh motor
oil and it was suggested that some of our local
members may enjoy learning about the following:

DIESEL

Only $30/case of 3 gallons; ($2.50/quart) and for larger quantities,

only $50/case of 6 gallons ($2.09/quart).

Chevron DELO 400: 15W-40 – (Blue 1-gal. bottle)

Shell Rotella: 15W-40 – (White 1-gal. bottle)

Pennzoil: Long-Life Gold – (Yellow 1-gal. bottle)

CONVENTIONAL & SYNTHETIC BLENDS

Only $30/case of 12 quarts ($2.50/quart).

Castrol: 10W-30, 20W-50 (GTX) – (White 1-qt. bottle)

Pennzoil: 10W-30, HD30, 10W-40, 20W-50 (Conventional) – (Yellow 1-qt. bottle)

10W-30 (High Mileage Vehicle) – (Bronze 1-qt. bottle)

5W-20, 5W-30 Synthetic Blend (SUV, Truck, Minivan) – (Gold 1-qt. bottle)

Valvoline: 10W-30, 10W-40, 20W-50 – (White 1-qt. bottle)

Quaker State: 5W-20, 10W-30, 10W-40 – (Green 1-qt. bottle)

FULL SYNTHETIC

Only $30/case of 6 quarts ($5.00/quart).

Castrol Syntec: 10W-30 – (Black 1-qt. bottle)

Pennzoil Platinum: 5W-20, 5W-30, 10W-30 – (Silver 1-qt. bottle)

(I have no financial interest in this endeavor but will assist
in answering questions and helping to facilitate the delivery
of the oil)

What’s everybody running in their street cars?
Conventional, blends or full synthetic and
what weight?
Appreciate the feedback.
Thanks
