Thanks for refreshing my recollection! I hope you can follow up on the Sagan papers at the Library of Congress and find something useful and interesting to share with all of us.
Good luck with the restoration!

I am restoring the Sagan Corvair (64 Spyder convert). I appreciate your
essage and will give the Library of Congress a try after awhile. It has
een hard to break into his inner circle but if the papers are made public
t should be alot easier. Thank you for the information - I usually listen
o NPR while working on the car but somehow missed this program.
ncidentally, the Sagan Corvair is being assembled but rather slowly at this
oint as it takes alot of bucks to buy everything that this car needs
interior, top, etc.). The whole rather silly process is recorded here

I know that someone on this list is restoring Carl Sagan's Corvair. My
feeble mind can't recall right now just who that is. Anyway, I was
listening to NPR's All Things Considered yesterday and they did a segment
reporting that Carl Sagan's papers had just been donated to the Library of
Congress. They interviewed his widow and, apparently like Andy Warhol,
Carl Sagan saved everything. She said his records and papers were so
inclusive that they even went back to and included his mother's
gynecological medical chart when she was expecting him! I would bet
there's something there about his Corvair. To the owner/restorer of his
Corvair: give the Library of Congress some time to catalog it and then
ask to see if there is anything about the Corvair.
