<VV> Oil Pressure

Bob, anything above the oil pressure switch preset pressure at idle is
fine, I think the switch is set for 7 or 9 psi, can't remember, then
the pressure builds quickly to about 35 psi for the normal spring and
45 psi or so for the heavy duty spring. This pressure is set by
bypassing the oil the engine cannot flow. 35 psi provides sufficient
boundary layer in the bearings in a normally operated engine. Mark

Subject: <VV> Oil Pressure
Hi,

What would be the "normal" oil pressure for a Corvair engine, say at idle,
then at 3000 RPM?

Regards,

Bob
