The Chevy Trucks seem very susceptible to these failures -- run it dry 
just once, and likely you have a fuel pump replacement in your near 
future -- as odd as it may sound, on the GM p/u's it is easier to loosen 
and tip the box than to drop the tank -- dahik (and it was a volunteer 
job for a neighbor ... )
