Harry, one reason is that isopropanol (isopropyl alcohol) has about SEVEN  
times the ability of methanol to absorb water and distribute it evenly  
throughout the gasoline which is the purpose of "dry gas".  So it's what I  
always use in preference to methanol especially in cars that end up having  
gasoline sitting in their tanks for long periods of time..
