<VV> 1965-1966 Transaxle gaskets different ?

I think you're right the 66-69 Saginaw transmission is about 2" longer than
the 60-65 Saginaw transmission.  

This is one of my pet peeves, because ALL Corvair manual transmissions were
made at the Saginaw plant!

I remember this from when I did it on my 65 Corsa.

The front cross member is 'offset' to account for the 66 (Saginaw) being
about 2" longer.
