<VV> Belt clues

We did a survey of favorite belts on VV a half dozen or more years ago.  IIRC, the Dayco Top Cog was the winner by a slim margin.  2nd place, I claim CRS on that one.

only thing I see , is maybe belt guide too tight? should not rub on belt  
ALL the time...I set them a touch less than space needed  (@ 1/2 width of  
belt)for belt to  come off. 
I can predict when a MODAC cut belt listed from NAPA will come off , even  
took factory rep for a short demo ride once.
The gates belts or better yet Clark's wrapped belts seem to be best for me  
, running very high current alternators now.
