It seems to me, cost of generator and MAINTENANCE is more than loss of
revenue sporadically. I have no interest, financial. or mgmt in
motels/hotels/inns. Etc

It would make sense to me for a hotel to have an automatically on backup
generator with enough power to keep critical systems and lighting operating.
I'm surprised that their Business Interruption insurance carrier does not
require it. Or, maybe they are just taking the hit for the time they had to
turn booked reservations away?

And yes, I used the flashlight from my car.

All: Haven't you folks ever thought of having a flashlite w/a set of extra
batteries in your suit case and another one in your car? It sometimes gets
dark at inconveniant times and situations.

Add them to your must take list.

Why would you think a business would have more equipment - like a portable
generator - when it is not required by law?

Historically Yours,
James Rice
