<VV> remote mirror

I'm far from an expert, but I believe that is what's known as the "mid-66 to 67" three wire remote mirror. It was "an improvement" over the "two wire" mirror that I make the replacement internal arms for.
The 68 & 69 remote mirrors were rectangular... the '64-mid '66" mirror has the Chevy bowtie cast in the mirror stem, whereas the later style don't (possibly in order to use them across the GM line, and not just on Chevy).
I believe this mirror is (or was) available from our large, friendly, east coast vendor...
If you're interested in the "arms" for a '64-65-66 two wire remote mirror, drop me a note.
Thanks!
Lonzo in Kaintuck... where the sun is shining, the sky is blue, and it's 62 degrees!

Well it isn't a '68 or '69 which had a squared off shape. I don't know if '67
did. I'd guess '66. Look for part numbers on the castings.

Looks like a '66 and later style to me. On the '65 (and maybe early '66?) the
entire head moves, not just the mirror. Yes, the toggle mounts inside the
driver door on the vertical metal area just ahead of the door panel and centered

roughly 6.5 inches down from the top of the door. If in very nice condition and

working correctly, is worth around $500 should you decide to sell it.

Later, JR

Digging around in the attic, I retrieved this little number. Can someone
identify or disclaim that this is a Corvair remote mirror? If so, where is the
toggle mounted...in the door?
