Well, I would use a few milder words than Smitty, but he is right. Unless
you are pumping out way more horsepower more continuously (like the named
guy who has done it does) than what a normal driver would, there is no need
to re-engineer what GM did.

My original Corvair drove 220K miles on the same cylinders, and I was not
easy on the car using 1960's oil! With that history I am confident that I
don't need more cooling than what the std fan produces. Just make sure the
engine is tuned, sealed and shrouded properly and go drive it!
