<VV> Heavy duty suspension?

The VIN back then just tells you what year, model, plant, and sequence number the vehicle is. The HD suspension was a stand alone option, so being a Spyder doesn't answer the question.

However, there are spring specs for earlies in the shop manual, you should be able to tell from that if your car has the HD suspension or not.

It now rides good but quite stiff. Is there an easy way to tell if it has Heavy duty suspension? like , in the VIN number? Was that a factory option?
