<VV> Question about removing 110 PG from 1967 Monza

My "plan B" is to remove the 110 PG from my 1967 Monza and "plug in" the 140
case to the PG, to show the cops that it runs (which is all he needs to go
away.)

Question is, now that the whole "top" (turkey roaster, carbs, oil adapter,
etc) is off the case, and the starter and bolts are all out, the engine is
just kinda just sitting there ready to slight it out right?

Wrong - no bolts holding it in, so I figure it's torsion/tension/friction
keeping it falling out onto the driveway?

OK not quite that simple, but I figured a little tugging and it would give
it up, but I figure there's some other little thingy that I'm not seeing
that's snagging my plan?

I know things have to line up pretty closely to get the engine back in, but
I thought getting it out would be the easy part.

Any hints about what I can't see from here?

Thanks!

Charlie
