<VV> Gen keeps running without Fan Belt?

What 

kept the Gen turning. Was the Gen getting juice from the battery and that kept 
it 
turning.

Factory Gen Regulators had a special cutout...replacements do not....  that was called "motoring"  the Gen..... a common test to see if the gen is good.


Watch for an NOS  unit on ebay..
