Kevin, I have used it in older engines to loosen up things like stuck rings
or to help loosen sludge buildup. If your engine is clean inside there is
no need for it.
What you may have seen from adding to gas is a smoother running engine that
now idles a bit faster? It doesn't take much.
So I presume you are worried about idle oil pressure? What are your
readings at idle and above idle for a warm engine?
