Use Dino oil for this.

Run it an hour - to 1 1/2. Very RPMS during this phase.

Change the oil and filter.

Drive it 100 to 200 miles.

Change the oil and filter.

Drive it 500 miles.

Change the oil and filter.

Drive it 1500 (more) miles.

Change the oil and filter.

When you get to 4500 miles or so, you can go to synthetic.

Obviously, you are going to be watching oil consumption, smoke out the
exhaust, and checking the bottom of the drain pan for fragments along the
way. This is what I do. This being VV, others are bound to have differing
opinions.... <GRIN>

This also gives you a chance to use up those early run Clark's filters that
you've been afraid to use.

Later, JR
