I have a 1969 Bill Thomas catalog showing: PN 3830951 (1960-3 145 cubic
inch, 2x1 heads, less carburation and wires - $485.00 shipping weight
400 lbs); PN 3921001 (1964-9 164 cubic inch 4x1 heads, 140 HP, less
carburation and wires - $525.00 shipping weight 400 lbs.). Chevy
offered universal replacement bare blocks from 1967 to 1972. (no
stamping on any part - I have two). Chevy offered short block for most
Corvair engine combinations (crankcase halves, crankshaft and cam). The
P&A 30C shows all the PNs for the various combinations: PN3830951
(universal engine assembly 1960-1963); PN 3918793 (universal engine
assenbly 1964-1967 standard model); PN 3921001 (special high performance
engine assembly 1964-1967) and PN 3933939 (universal A.I.R. 1966-1969).

Remember the Chevy Corvair was a complete stand alone car/truck line, so
any thing that GM did for the other divisions (Caddy, Buick, Olds,
Poncho and Chevy they did for Corvair - that was Ed Cole's vision.
