Robert,
Since you have checked nearly everything already. I suspect that the PCV  
system is your problem. Try disconnecting it and run a test without it  
connected. Easy enough to do. Also do you have the top cover-baffel (oil baffel  
under the top cover) in place ? If that were missing...........
