Have been having some problems with vapor lock in my 65 Corsa Turbo Coupe.
One
of the causes was a simple loose worn out belt not providing enough air
flow
for cooling.

1  Belt is supposed to be loose.    And normal Vairs do not vaporloc while running since the top of the engine  remains fairly cool  compared to the heads.   Sounds like you have a weak fuelpump  or a leaking hose connection or plugged strainer / sock  in the tank.  Or is it after setting 20-30 minutes and you start driving for a block or two and then it quits?


Are you running an electric pump?


Note:  to cure vaporloc as it happens..  engine OFF   crack a fuel line slightly and release the vapor.
