<VV> Valves clicking

Matt could be right. He usually is. But it seems to me  that  if you turn 
off your warm engine with the valve clicking, the next  cold start would also 
have the valve clicking until they fill with  oil.
 
I wonder if possibly you are mis-adjusting them?

Most  likely low oil pressure.... below 7 psi....  Put a cheap mechanical  
gauge   where the oil snap switch is and check  it..
