<VV> BRAKE LIGHTS

There are replacement sockets at your local FLAPS. While you are in the
process of changing the socket, solder a ground wire to the ground tab on
the socket. Solves the flaky ground problem once and for all. A second
benefit, the bulb will continue to burn even if the socket is not snapped
into the tail light. It makes for a dandy trouble light so that you can see
when you replace your thrown fan belt in the dark of night. Having bright
trouble light under the deck lid makes the whole project worthwhile.

Yinz guys,
I have in the past, soldered a small ball to the bottom of the light bulbs
to extend the reach and contact with the socket. Sometimes the socket is so
wore out that you can't tweak the contacts enough.
