The Astro 1 concept car was slated for scrappage back in the mid-'80's.
Through some clandestine maneuvers we were able to spare it that fate and
had GM restore it back to it's original splendor. The car is now on display
at the GM Heritage Collection in Somewhere-Warren, Michigan. There was an
article about the saving of the car in a past issue of the CORSA Communique.
