It wasn't a 'rant' - just a criticism of US signposting in general, and 
I just gave one example of a widespread problem. If you've never known 
anything different, you wouldn't realise just how bad it is. but I'm not 
'trashing' the US by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just making 
some constructive suggestions as to how things could be made a lot 
easier for drivers. It isn't often that I make a favourable comparison 
of Europe compared to the US, but when it comes to signposting, I have 
no hesitation in doing so. For once, Europe is a hundred times better.
