I am not an authority with CORSA in any way and have no opinion either way
on holding or not holding the national convention. I do not envy any or all
of our leaders during this difficult time. For what it is worth, Center for
Disease Control (CDC) numbers updated daily COVID 19 map page
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/cases-in-us.html
graph (about the 3rd graph down) shows total number of cases going up BUT
the rate of **new** cases are drastically lower, having peaked on March
16th, 2020. Based on these numbers the interventions are working. I am a
practicing physician and CORSA member. We are masking, gloving,
sanitizing, and telephoning visits. All schools, restaurants, churches,
sporting events, and much more are shut. Like many people I have not
touched another human being in 2 weeks. Under the circumstances the CDC
numbers with a precipitous drop in the rate of **new** cases (totals are of
course increasing) are consistent with these unprecedented measures.

Liquor stores, hardware stores, and grocery stores are open. So you can
eat, drink, do home improvement, and work on your Corvair.

In other news, Greg Riley air-conditioned Lisa my Vair last fall so I am
looking forward to having A/C for the first time in my 1964 Coupe when it
gets warmer.
