Hi Jim,
I recommend you call TimeSert for their advice.   They are the experts. 
 TimeSert also makes BigSerts, which can be sometimes used to repair a
botched insert.  I have used them on heads that have had a thread repair
fail.   BigSerts would be a last resort.   You will need to purchase a
BigSert insert kit and inserts.  Note: be careful of the insert tool as
they can break if you are not careful.   Also use oil on that tool as
they recommend.   Note also that the normal TimeSert insert tool can be
used to insert a BigSert and save you the cost of a $25 insert tool.  
Same 3/8x16 thread and it will work.
