<VV> Floor pans

Hi Keith,
I have not done floors and would look at alternatives. Check out POR-15 at
www.por-15.com This stuff is awesome and they have a floor pan repair
kit. It would be MUCH faster, cheaper and I think better in the long run
to repair versus replacing the floor pans especially when you only have a
couple of small holes in the floors . I just repaired some rusted out
windshield areas where there were holes through the lower sections. One
club member welds these up, but I just used a little POR-15 and the
fiberglass mesh to form some substance. He was amazed. In a couple of
hours, it was repaired and will NEVER rust out again, since the POR-15 is
impervious to moisture and will seal the steel and prevent the rust from
forming.

For the floor pans, a little POR-15 combined with the fiberglass mesh and
it will be good as new. They also have POR Putty which is POR-15 in a
putty consistency. When it hardens, it is rock hard. You can fill holes
with that also, but using the mesh provides a more secure base.

POR-15 is really awesome stuff. Once it hardens, you have a finish that is
impervious to rust and moisture and you can barely scratch it with a
knife. It is really hard stuff. Just be sure to follow all the
directions carefully and use the metal prep they recommend. After that, it
will adhere well even over rusty panels. Use gloves since it will not come
off hands. Use plastic sheet on the can tops since you will NEVER get it
off if the POR-15 seals the lid on.
