Not everybody, though. About thirteen years ago I bought a nice '66 sedan
with a stuck valve. I pulled the head and had Devecka do it up right and
have been using the car in parades, most of the northwest econo runs, a
couple of western national meets and have driven it border to border (down
and up) without any problems at all. You just don't hear about all of the
Vairs that are running fine year after year. The engine has never been out
of the car. Sure, it's a little tired, but I could drive it over the
mountains to Seattle in a moments notice if need be.
