 I'm so very sorry to hear of Mark's passing.

Guillan-Barre Syndrome is rarely fatal. Mark's case was most unusual in that way.
I hope that the doctors were able to gain some knowledge from his case.

My wife had Guillan-Barre when she was 13 and was partially paralyzed for several 
months. She made what was at the time called a full recovery. To this day she has
little feeling in the bottom of her feet and has other problems at times including a
real sensitivity to cold which was partly responsible for our move to the Left Coast
in 1988. 

When the only way to diagnose a disease is to rule out everything else it's a danger
to us all. As we can see it can strike at any age and it's true cause is still unknown.

Mark, May you rest in peace and be in our prayers always.
