<VV> Fwd: Shimming of Early Rear Axle Bearings

There is an ad for a  "rebuilt" real axle + bearing running on ebay; I'm not 
biding, as I have several  NOS spares, but the ad states (among other things) 
the bearing has been  "re-shimmed." When I R&R early bearings (car & FC) for 
cleaning and  lubing, besides a good inspection, that's all I do. I know about 
late rear  bearing shimming. Am I missing something about "shimming" earlies?
