<VV> Strange drive train experience, excuse the lenthy post

    By the symptoms, it looks like rear wheel bearings went South. It happened me some 15 years ago on the same right side, 200 miles far from home. Don´t drive the car before inspecting those bearings and brake linings. Hope it is only dragging brake linings.
    If bearings, they are: outer, LM67048 + LM67010. Inner, M86649 + M86610. They are both Timken and Bower numbers.

<<.....Anyway moving from the rear to the right side over the tire 
was about 5 times  hotter than the left side. If you hold your hand over the 
right rear tire are,  not the tire itself, it was very warm. The left side was 
warm but much cooler,  like the engine compartment.....>>
