<VV> 1965 GM manual (page 6Y-19,Fig 8i) Spark Plug Wire

On 6Y-19 you are standing on the right side of the car and #1 is at the 9 
o'clock position.

On 12-27, IF you turn the manual so that you are behind the car, #1 now 
appears to be about the 5 O'clock position.

BOTH diagrams appear correct to me - depending upon the vantage point.
