Although I am retired and on a "fixed income", I still have "discretionary" spending that is well  within my ability to afford a dues increase if that is necessary.  Corsa provides a substantial bargain in national organizational "anchoring" for our hobby.  The combination of Communique, support for the annual convention, insurance, guidance for the chapters and backing of the CPF are a useful and low cost contribution.   I am more than willing to see a serious dues increase in light of our dwindling membership.  It may someday reach a point at which I may choose to drop out, but at the $45-$50 range for an annual membership, with the continuation of such a fine monthly publication, I cannot do anything but support it at this point.  I certainly wish there were hoards of young folks lining up to buy Corvairs and join us but the reality is that we will ultimately go the way of the Model A Ford clubs.....Enjoy what we have, while we can, and let's take care of the fine organization we have today, built by the personal sacrifices of time and effort by many folks prior to my joining only 19 years ago.  We have some very fine an dedicated people who care about Corvairs in our Management company that receive very little for the total hours they spend in support of our "hobby", and the folks who are willing to serve on the board and take the flack that is unavoidable have my undying appreciation for their dedication.

Stepping down off the soap box for now, but appreciating what our founding folks and dedicated participants have built  up to this point.
