Would you pay him more if it took longer? Like for the broken exhaust stud that showed up during reassembly (it is an "old" car, right)? Or how about the previous joe that used an excessive amount of gasket glue that now took 3 times as long to remove? Or the training and schooling he may have to attend just to try to keep up with the changes in the industry? And the equipment that is continually being required and continually changing? Maybe you are in the wrong business. It would probably be easier to be a medical doctor today than being in the automotive business. Timothy Shortle in Durango Colorado
