67 110 PG runs OK for about a mile or so (maybe less) before getting bogged 
down, pinging and knocking, see previous posts.
Since the starter is DOA at this point (see another recent post) I can't 
test it, but just before it died, I was able to set the timing, swell, carb 
idle, balance tubes, etc, and it still happened.

Please tell us   how you did the above... timing / dwell, carb idle?????    Balance tubes???


and what order you did them in.


I thought you were a member of the local Chapter of Corsa?   IECC??  Have you asked for help?


You've been messin'  with this for months... and still can only get   2 miles down the road???
