the same carb is dumping massive amounts of fuel while idling and that side of the engine is 
running hotter. the drivers side is relatively cool and use about the correct amount of fuel drippage.

You need to find a  competent  CORVAIR  mechanic...  not a technician...


Everything you describe is BACKWARDS!


1  A good running engine is HOT headed... how the chokes know when to open!


2  You NEVER see gasoline dripping.....NEVER....  only when you snap the throttle will you see 2 streams of gas. SQUIRT for 1 second..


3  You are only running on 3 cyl.!!!  the engine should only slow down when you put a hand over  one carb.


4  Make sure the Mech knows how to "Balance Carb   AIRFLOW'...
