<VV> CONCERN OVER 2011 CORSA CONVENTION DATES

Yes, but why complete directly with such a major car event that has already
booked 4 hotels? How many hotels has the 2011 CORSA Convention in Denver
booked as of today?

Because the criteria for booking a CORSA Convention are almost identical for
booking the VCCA Convention et.al., so the chances of having conflicting
dates approach a certainty rather than something else!

Certainly Chevrolets 100th birthday will be celebrated not just in the USA,
but all over the world during 2011, but I firmly believe that none of these
celebrations will come anywhere near the size of the VCCA event. I would be
surprised if GM are planning anything significant.

And I've also got a 1960 Belair....Flint is 2 hours away, and I wouldn't go
to Denver at gun-point (Cody Wyoming...in a heartbeat, but "LA-East", no
way!). Going to Flint is a no-brainer, YMMV! However, having said
that.....you ever been to Flint? It's sorta like Beirut without the
dashiki's, but with soft body-armor as an acceptable fashion accessory.
Filling 4 flea-bag hotels (none of which are likely to be in) in Flint is
like filling a Motel 6 in Hoboken...not that big a deal.

So in Chevrolet's 100th year, the focus would be on correct original cars
and for one year "after market" cars take a step back. I don't see that is
or should be a big issue.

My Belair is certainly "legal"....ditto my 67 Monza Convertible. I may be
relegated "Below The Salt" at Flint, but I can certainly take a stroll to
the "other end" of the table and see stuff and talk to people that are why I
involve myself in this dumb hobby in the first place! I guess I'm just not
as parochial as some others regarding the cars I play with. Besides...I
remember Buffalo! Now why should I drive to Denver?
