i have converted a couple of rampys to late shifters , best way is to  have 
a donor late vehicle.
i chopped a chunk of floor from the late , including the piece that  goes 
up the horizontal face under the seat. it becomes more obvious if you look  
under a late. without this reinforcement the shifter is too wiggy.
you of course need the tank with a hole in it and the other linkage  parts. 
 hardest part is changing the tank.
the floor can actually be bolted in place if needed. the new piece is  the 
template. it aint easy , but well worth the work.
it works so much nicer!!!
