If this is actually a pilot car its a steal! I collect many cars as well
as Corvairs (I have 30 at any given time). I travel to the major East Coast
auctions and shows. Unfortunately many Corvair people do not live in the
real world when it comes to pricing. Sorry its true, Its good because many
prices stay down, however Im having a rust free 66 Corsa painted and it costs
$6500.00, I stripped it and Im putting it back together. Almost any decent
classic car that is remotely desirable and really is decent is going to
cost you 10K anymore, but a pilot car!!

A 66 Corsa Turbo Convertible is very rare much less a pilot car. With
a proper detailing and clean up a large collector would pay far more than
that at a the right auction. I just read a 64 Greenbrier went for $31000 at
auction! It was in Sports Car Market or Hemmings at a large auction.
Granted that's insane and I love Corvairs and Corvair people but.......theres
the real world out there! My two cents for what theyre worth!
