Yes, I remember my 1969 Monza that ran terribly : pinging and knocking, 
horrible gas mileage and worse performance, until I ripped out the smog 
equipment !

Without the smog equipment, mileage went to over 30 MPG, and performance was 
what you would expect from a 140 4-speed !

OK, not stock, but ...

What a difference !!!!!!
