The Edward N. Cole  award is awarded on the basis of overall  participation 
and success in all aspects of the Convention each year. Concours  score, 
rally,econorun, Autocross placement as well as a few other events. You  have 
to enter to compete - it isn't automatic - Usually a dozen or so decide to  
compete. Lots of famous Corvair people's names have been on the trophy. 
 
This year, the actual trophy was presented by Dollie Cole, Ed's  widow.
