Smitty says;  Bill don't beat the dog cause the cat crapped in the living 
room.  It is true that removing the lower shrouds reduces oil temp by about 
20 degrees.  Other than that, if you have high oil temperature, go after 
cooling the oil.  Piggyback 8 plate coolers are a good thought.  Routing the 
oil through an RX-7 cooler under the fender is even better.  They have 1/2" 
feed lines and a built in H valve so they don't over cool on start up.
