For 1965, Pontiac offered as standard - (for V8s only, according to the  
specs) - a fully synchonized 3-speed manual transmission. (The "Muncie"  
4-speed was an option.)GM didn't have an all-synchro one - until the "Saginaw"  
appeared in 1966, so Pontiac went to Ford, and offered a Ford all-synchro  
3-speed in the 65 V8 cars.
