<VV> How to connect electric chokes?

Neither.
Tie (assuming two leads from the chock) one to switched 12 v. and the other to ground. The coil (ignition) is not a good source of 12 volts.

Anyone have any ideas on how to connect an electric choke on some 2 bbl carbs on my LM Corvair?  The wire was connected to the coil but I’m not sure if I connect to the positive or negative terminal.
