The decorative panel on the instrument panel is removable and can be
re-painted with wrinkle finish paint available in spray cans.  Aircraft
paint remover will take the old off, mask the bright areas you want to
keep, then scuff the flat areas.  Paint while keeping the surface warm with
a heat gun.
