If I remember, you stick a pin (paper clip opened up) into the pinhole in the tumbler, and rotate the cyl while pulling (prying) the tumbler out of the switch.

Subject: <VV> Early ignition switch cylinder replacement.
I recently acquired an early with no key, and the ignition in the "on" position. After trying every one of my collection of B-10 keys with no luck, I got another cylinder with keys. Now the problem; How do I remove the useless cylinder when I have no key to get it into the lock position? I'm thinking I may have to resort to hammer and chisel tactics, which I hate to do to any Corvair.
