Do you buy Brad Penn locally or order it? I don't have a good local
distributor from which to buy Brad Penn.

I currently use Valvoline VR1 in my engines that have high lift high
spring load flat tappet cams. The description says that it is good for
street as well as racing. Maybe it was race only at one time but no longer.

My son just uses Valvoline high mileage 10W-30 in his 68. But it's a
worn out engine that we will replace near term.

Both the blend and the full-synthetic are specifically engineered for flat-tappet engines.

>> Since switching to the Vavoline product, engine mechanical sounds are less, especially at cold start up; and, oil consumption, from burn off, is nill. I found Wallmart, online, to be the best (read: in stock and least expensive) source. And that's my 2-cents worth.
