<VV> Corvair as the GM VW ?

It would seem that VW did not succumb to market pressure (and there may not 
have been such a thing when the 'bug' was born anyway ?) but GM did, and the 
'peoples' Corvair ("VolksVair if you will) died as a result, since it tried 
to evolve too fast, and never really found its niche ?

Just like GM under-marketed the late model Corvair, GM may have 
over-marketed the early model out of existence ?

It seems the Corvair started life as almost over-appreciated, and end as 
under-appreciated ?

My opinion of course, but it seems not too far off point ?
